Gingival diseases

If you did not clean your teeth using toothbrush and dental floss, dental plaque will accumulate and inflammation of the gingiva will start gradually. The gingival color will change gradually from pale pink to red due to increase blood vesicles and gingival bleeding will increase.

Increase inflammation indicated by increase redness of the gingiva

With ignoring cleaning, the inflammation will increase and the gingiva will start to bleed without stimulus

Inflammation continues to severe stage and extends to periodontal tissue causing destruction of the tissue and bone loss which leads to formation of periodontal pockets and teeth mobility.

If you are cleaning your teeth well but your gingiva bleeds easily, you should visit a periodontist to evaluate the cause of bleeding. Some medical diseases and blood disorders are discovered through gingival bleeding as first sign. The periodontist will do the proper investigations to discover the cause of bleeding and treat it in the proper way.
