Dental implant & medical status

Are there any medical diseases that contraindicate dental implants placement?

There are no medical diseases that contraindicate implant placement, but medical status should be controlled before implant placement
Many studies have been conducted about the success rate of dental implants in different diseases, most of these studies shows good success rate when the medical condition is under control
There are some medical diseases that contraindicate doing any surgeries including dental implants (e.g. Uncontrolled high blood pressure, uncontrolled diabetes, patient undergoing radiotherapy or chemotherapy, severe blood disorder…….)

When these diseases are controlled and after medical approval of the physician, implant can be placed after doing all preparation steps for each patient according to his/her case.
Success rates of dental implants in patients with any medical problems are different from one patient to another, but generally it is good in case of controlling the medical status.
