Dental implants cases

All surgical procedures were done by Dr. Ali Al-Ghamdi, prosthesis were done by consultants prosthodontist or restorative dentist .

In case of missing one tooth

Second Case :

   
  Patient like to replace upper right lateral incisor  

   
  X-ray shows remaining root in this area  

   
  The remaining root is extracted with minimal trauma using Periotomes  

   
  The implant was placed immediately

  Removal of the remaining root and implant
placement were done in the same visit

Third Case :

   
  Deep caries in upper left second premolar
   
  The tooth is extraceted using periotomes and implant was placed immediately

  After 4 months, implant was exposed and healing abutment was placed

In case of missing more than one tooth :


   
  Missing lower left first & second molars (observe bone loss after extraction which indicates the need for bone graft)  

   
  Two implants were placed  

   
  Bone graft was placed to augment the ridge  

   
  Resorbable membrane was used to cover the graft

  After two years from implant placement See the nice healing with no inflammation due to good oral hygiene    

Second Case :

   
  This patient like to change the shape of all his teeth and replace all missing teeth which are:    

   
     
   
  Seven implants were placed to replace missing teeth, sinus bone augmentation for right and left maxillary sinuses, bone graft to replace resorbed bone after extraction in all upper teeth  

 
Six months after final prosthesis (all teeth and implants were crowned)

In case of missing all teeth :


   
  This patient is complaining of movement of the lower denture causing ulcers  

   
  Two implants were placed to hold the removable denture  

   
  Two implants were placed to hold the removable denture (This is the ideal solution for persons who cannot afford to do full mouth implants and fixed prosthesis)  

Second Case:

   
  This patient have lost many of her upper and lower teeth, all upper teeth are hoopless due to severe mobility and are indicated for extraction

  Bone graft were placed to replace resorbed bone, sinus bone graft were done for right and left maxillary sinuses, and seven implants were placed. All in one surgery  

   
  After healing, the abutments were placed  

   
  All remaining upper teeth were extracted, bone graft were placed to replace resorbed bone, sinus bone graft were done for right and left maxillary sinuses, and seven implants were placed. All in one surgery  

 
After final restoration for the upper arch (Second step is implants in lower arch, patient like to finish the upper then do the lower)

Third Case:

   
 
This patient has severe periodontitis with abscess around many teeth, and poorly designed prosthesis  
The plan was extraction of all teeth and placement of full mouth implants with fixed restoration  
 

   
  All teeth were extracted, sinus bone graft were performed for both right and left maxillary sinuses, bone graft was done to replace resorbed bone and 14 implants were placed, all in one surgery under general anesthesia
